Description

Second collection of classic romantic dramas. In 'Ticket to Paradise' (1961) travel agent Jack Watson (Emrys Jones) and tourist Mary Rillston (Patricia Dainton) fall in love in Italy.

Comedy 'Love in Pawn' (1953) sees poor but happy couple Roger (Bernard Braden) and Jean (Barbara Kelly) promised £10,000 if Roger can prove he's hardworking but they end up having to pawn Roger.

In 'Second Woman' (1950) Ellen Foster (Betsy Drake) is visiting her aunt when she meets troubled Jeff Cohalan (Robert Young).

In 'Hindle Wakes' (1952) Jenny Hawthorne (Lisa Daniely) meets Alan Jeffcote (Brian Worth) while on holiday in Blackpool and they travel together to Wales to extend their time together. 'Love from a Stranger' (1937) finds lottery winner Carol Howard (Ann Harding) marrying Gerald Lovell (Basil Rathbone) but soon realising she might be in danger.

In 'Flood Tide' (1934) an aging couple hope that their son will finally settle down and start a family with his childhood sweetheart. 'Penny Serenade' (1941) follows Julie Gardiner (Irene Dunne) and Roger Adams (Cary Grant) as they fall in love, marry and struggle to have a family.

Finally in 'The Strange Love of Martha Ivers' (1946) Martha (Barbara Stanwyck) is married to Walter (Kirk Douglas) but she doesn't love him.

When her childhood friend Sam (Van Heflin) returns, their happiness and lives are threatened.
