Ein ungewohnliches Trio muss jedoch zuruckbleiben und auf Hilfe warten. Tony, der Sohn des Seilmachers, hat sich am Bein verletzt. Der Dorfalteste ist wegen seines hohen Alters zu schwach. Und der blinde Schmied ist wahrscheinlich nicht in der Lage, den schwierigen Fuweg zu schaffen. Sie warten aufgeregt auf Rettung, haben aber bald keinen Ausweg mehr.
Obwohl alles dagegen spricht, nehmen die drei Gefahrten all ihren Mut zusammen und treten die Reise an. Auf ihrem gefahrlichen Weg verlassen sie sich auf den Anderen und teilen das bisschen, das ihnen noch geblieben ist.
