Review by wyvernfriend
In a world where there are people who bleed silver and people who bleed red, the silver have the power and the powers, basically superheroes. They rule this world and treat the Reds badly. When Mare visits the Silver city to try to steal enough to help herself and a friend avoid the draft it sets things on a path from which there is no return. It happens that she has power, power she shouldn't have as a Red, so the Silvers pretend that she's a lost one of them. She ends up engaged to the second son of the royal dynasty. She has to learn to survive but there are plots that involve her and to add to things she's attracted to the Prince royal. It could be great, and there's a lot riding on the next book in the series but it sounds like a pretty typical teen destroy the corrupt system story. Though there were points in the story that took me by surprise.
