Missing the meat: due to the fact that Patrick was dying of pancreatic cancer at the time that Wendy Leigh was writing her book, there were no comments from the family included. The sense that you gather is that Swayze, while battling addictions, was overall a very decent, caring man who loved and committed to one woman, Lisa Niemi. I wish the library had Time of My Life, Patrick's autobiography.
