Description
John Wayne stars as the eponymous Chicago police detective in this British action thriller directed by Douglas Hickox.
Sent to London to bring home American gangster Ben Larkin (John Vernon), Jim Brannigan balks at the more restrained style of policing found in Britain.
When Larkin is kidnapped before he can be extradited, Brannigan charges through the city as he attempts to locate the gangster and finds himself at odds with Scotland Yard's Commander Charles Swann (Richard Attenborough).
The cast also includes Judy Geeson and Mel Ferrer.
