DVD

Description

Second World War action drama. The film follows eight-year-old Jewish boy Srulik Fridman (Andrzej Tkacz/Kamil Tkacz) as he escapes from the occupied Warsaw ghetto on the advice of his father Hersch (Zbigniew Zamachowski) in 1942.

After running away, Srulik seeks temporary safety from the pursuing Nazi soldiers in a nearby forest before finding refuge on a Polish farm where he adopts the identity of a Christian orphan named Jurek Staniak.

Working as a farmhand, Srulik tries to avoid capture and betrayal by his new friends but also risks losing sight of his Jewish roots.
