Description

Finnish Second World War drama set in Russian Karelia, near the Finnish border.

Lieutenant Eero Perkola (Peter Franzén) is sent on a reconnaissance mission behind enemy lines, leaving his fiancée Lotta Kaarina Vainikainen (Irina Bjorklund) behind to serve in the Women's Auxiliary Corps.

When tragic news reaches the young lieutenant, he throws caution to the wind and becomes alarmingly oblivious to the safety and well-being of himself and his platoon.
