Het is geen leerboek. De NCB versie 3 is een vrij nauwkeurige vertaling van de IPMA Competence Baseline (ICB).

Dit is de internationale standaard voor certificering, vastgesteld door de International Project Management Association (IPMA). De uitgave is samengesteld door IPMA Nederland.
