M3 Lee/Grant Vol. II, Paperback / softback Book

M3 Lee/Grant Vol. II Paperback / softback

Paperback / softback

Description

The design of the M3 Lee/Grant was unusual, with the main weapon of a larger calibre, low-velocity 75mm gun in an offset sponson mounted in the hull.

A small turret with a lighter, high-velocity 37mm gun sat on the tall hull, and a small cupola on top of the turret held a machine gun.

The design was not ideal as the guns had limited traverse, but as the British army was desperate for tanks, they ordered nearly 3,000. The second part of the Lee/Grant monograph contains over 70 pages of drawings and descriptions of mainly British, but also Canadian and Australian versions of this tank, including RAM tanks, with the minor details drawn to a larger 1:17 and 1:24 scale. This book contains descriptions of the Lee/Grant combat usage on all fronts and their camouflages illustrated by 16 pages of colour profiles.

All text and captions are in both Polish and English.
