Description

Pierre Morath directs this documentary which looks at the rise in popularity of the sport of running.

Only 50 years ago, distance running was seen as an elitist activity reserved only for male track athletes.

However, the 1960s saw a rapid rise in the sport's popularity, marking the beginning of its evolution from the stadiums to the streets.

With the aid of in-depth interviews with the likes of athlete Steve Prefontaine and women's rights activist Kathrine Switzer, the film looks at how the sport has developed through recent history and become one of the most popular and accessible activities in the world today.
