A little bit about us
For those who have yet to discover us, we specialise in art, environment & literature and sometimes double as an installation space:drawings, architectural models, photographs and paintings. The bookshop serves the county town of Selkirk and its satellite villages, plus the Ettrick & Yarrow valleys. The literary heritage of the town is unrivalled: Sir Walter Scott, James Hogg and Andrew Lang all lived or worked here, as did Mungo Park. This mix of history and contemporary discourses is reflected in the generous space itself(within the central old courthouse building)and in the mix of non-fiction and fiction work. The bookstock has extensive international reach.
The bookshop has developed over five years, now with great range & depth, colour and intellectual ambition. Go there!
