A little bit about us

Mostly Books is a friendly, independent bookshop located in the heart of Abingdon. The shop has been running for over twelve years and has been under new management since mid-2017. Since the takeover, the business has gone from strength to strength, with a full shop refurb, an extensive events calendar and increased local engagement. Our innovative ‘Books Throughout the Year’ subscription service has been well received by customers.

Mostly Books is Bertram’s 2019 Bookshop of the Year and one of our talented booksellers has been awarded the James Patterson Young Bookseller Special Achievement Award. In 2018, 2019 & 2020 we were regional finalists for Independent Bookshop of the Year at the British Book Industry Awards and we won an Independent Bookshop Innovation Award at the BA Conference in September 2018.
