Welcome to The Helmsley Bookshop. Nestled in the bustling market place, our bookshop in Helmsley has always been proud of its place at the heart of the community. With an extensive range of top-quality discounted books, our shop is a haven for book-loving visitors and locals alike.


We offer a wide selection of deeply discounted books as well as current best sellers and quirky reads, fabulous cards for all occasions, together with gifts and an extensive range of jigsaw puzzles and toys (including House of Puzzles, Gibsons, Ravensburger and many more). We’re open 7 days a week (except for Christmas Day, Boxing Day, and New Year’s Day). During the winter months (and times of severe weather!) our opening hours are sometimes reduced so please phone ahead to check before making a special visit.
