A little bit about us
For a while we've wondered about creating a space where we could share our passion for travel. We also wanted to give back. A space to lose ourselves. Where John Steinbeck’s Russian Journal rubs shoulders with ABBA’s Guide to Stockholm. Where Jonathan Raban tips his hat to Martha Gellhorn. Where Richard Scarry’s Busy Busy World tries very hard to sit still next to William Grill’s Shackleton. The Travel Book Company was set up to do these things. But also to be a place to give back to the remarkable places we love reading about and travelling to. Places that should never be taken for granted. And that’s why we use the profits from our sales to support a range of community and conservation initiatives in Tanzania.
