Meet the Authors - Philip Reeve & Sarah McIntyre

Philip Reeve is a talented illustrator and writer, and he has illustrated several titles in the Horrible Histories series. His Mortal Engines quartet won the Nestlé Children’s Book Prize, the Blue Peter Book Award, and the Guardian Children’s Book Award, and is being made into a film produced by Peter Jackson. His new book Railhead and its sequel Black Light Express follow the adventures of young thief Zen and his android accomplice Nova in a universe linked by sentient trains.

Sarah McIntyre is a British-American writer and illustrator of children’s books and comics, and is one of the most exciting talents in children’s books today. She was voted one of The Bookseller’s Rising Stars 2016, was a Blue Peter Book Award 2017 judge, and she was Writer- Illustrator in Residence at the Booktrust in 2017. Her #PicturesMeanBusiness campaign to ensure recognition for illustrators has brought about huge change in the industry.
