We’re really pleased you asked. We firmly believe it’s more the merrier on Hive and we want as many bookshops as possible on board with us championing our high streets and independent bookselling. If you’re an independent bookseller, with a bricks-and-mortar shop on the high street, then we’d love you to join us.
First thing’s first though. To be part of the Hive network of bookshops you need to have a credit account with Gardners Books Ltd. If you have one of these, and you make regular orders with Gardners as a wholesaler, then you’ve ticked the first couple of boxes.
If you do have an account with Gardners and make regular monthly trade orders, then please get in touch with your Gardners Sales contact. Once you’ve had the conversation and we’ve approved you, we’ll set you up on Hive within two working days.
It’s not just booksellers who can be on Hive!
If you’re an independent DVD or music retailer with a Gardners account, we’d love you to join us too! The same criteria above applies, so if you meet it, please get in touch with us.
Who can’t be on the Hive Network:
Sorry, no internet or mail order companies, please! Hive is solely committed to supporting our high streets and the independent booksellers on them. Customers that do not have credit facilites with Gardners.
