Before you can read DRM wrapped eBooks on your eReader using Adobe Digital Editions you must first authorise the reader. To do this simply:

  • Connect your eReader to your computer with the USB cable
  • Adobe Digital Editions will then detect your eReader and open a device set up assistant dialog box
  • Click 'Authorise Device' (see below)
  • Adobe Digital Editions will then authorise the eReader to allow DRM wrapped eBooks to be read.

It is very important to remember that any eReader device must be authorised with the same Adobe ID that was used to download to eBook to your PC.

Once the eReader device has been successfully authorised it will appear in Adobe Digital Editions 'Bookshelves' in the library view.

If it is not visible, check the USB cable is connected properly and the Reader is turned on.

Using your library view, copy the eBooks(s) to your eReader by dragging and dropping them from the 'Library view' onto the Reader icon in the left hand panel (see below).

When you disconnect your eReader from your PC you will be able to read your transferred eBooks.
