Description

Whilst the greatest effort has been made to ensure the quality of this text, due to the historical nature of this content, in some rare cases there may be minor issues with legibility.

IN this article the intention is to show briefly what modern science has proved in respect to the Celtic languages.

We shall consider shortly how the Celtic languages stand in relationship to the other leading European tongues, how they are related to each other, and especially how Gaelic is related to itself historically.

In a future article an account will be given of the ethnological and antiquarian theories now advocated by the leading scientists in these subjects.
