The Sittingbourne & Kemsley Light Railway, Paperback / softback Book

The Sittingbourne & Kemsley Light Railway Paperback / softback

Part of the British Narrow Gauge Railways series

Paperback / softback

Description

A 64 page A4 softback album, profusely illustrated in colour, showcasing this unique survivor, by well known writer and photographer Jonathan James in collaboration with SKLR Publicity Manager Paul Best.

The modern day Sittingbourne & Kemsley Light Railway was borne out of the railway network which previously served the giant Bowater's paper mills, just to the north of the Kent town of Sittingbourne.

The heritage line uses track, locomotives and other equipment from its industrial past as it takes the traveller on a journey from suburban Sittingbourne out into the Kent marshes.
