It's a very quick read, naturally, since it's a book, intended for children.I only started it because I had seen it on one Forbidden books list and got curious. So, when I saw it today on one of the shelves at the library I decided to pick it up just to see what it was about. For the life of me I wouldn't understand what's there to make it a forbidden one,it's just a normal book for kids. It's funny and quirky, I especially liked the places where you had to do old-fashion animation with the pages of the book and add you own noises. I may have skipped the making of noises part, or not! ;)

You know, I always sort of poo-pooed this series until I actually read a couple with my daughter. The stories really aren't that bad! AND, major bonus, they got my daughter to enjoy reading... well, at least until summer came.

George and Harold are two friends who write comics together. Their principal (who doesn't like them due to their mischievous nature) ends up believing he's Captain Underpants after the boys try to hypnotize him. The boys spend all day trying to keep him out of trouble. It's a funny story although there were a couple of gross out things that just weren't for me. The bad spelling did bother me. While I understand it, I feel like it's a bad idea to teach kids to write improperly....
