The Very Hungry Caterpillar Board book
by Eric Carle
Part of the The Very Hungry Caterpillar series
Eric Carle's classic, The Very Hungry Caterpillar, in board book format. A much-loved classic, The Very Hungry Caterpillar has won over millions of readers with its vivid and colourful collage illustrations and its deceptively simply, hopeful story.
With its die-cut pages and finger-sized holes to explore, this is a richly satisfying book for children. Eric Carle is an internationally bestselling and award-winning author and illustrator of books for very young children.
Eric lives in Massachusetts with his wife, Barbara. The Carles opened The Eric Carle Museum of Picture Book Art in Massachusetts in 2002. This is one of my favorite Eric Carle books. Carle's colorful illustrations provide uniqueness that children love. It teaches children about the life cycle of a caterpillar, counting, and the days of the week.

My kids love the book but it's one of my least favorite Eric Carle books.

This is one of my favorite picture books. I really like Eric Carle. I don't think all of his books are fantastic, but I really like this one and the Mixed-Up Chameleon.
