Tales from the Woods Hardback
by Felix Dennis
Tales from the Woods is the latest collection of original poetry by poet, publisher and maverick multimillionaire Felix Dennis.
Beautifully illustrated throughout with colour-washed pen and ink illustrations by artist Bill Sanderson, here are 50 evocative poems, celebrating trees and their part in our landscape, written by the biggest private planter of broadleaf trees in Britain.
Imbued with a deep love of the countryside, a warm, lyrical touch, and an often wry commentary to each poem, the book comes with a foreword by the head of the Tree Council.
It will be published with Dennis's normal panache and accompanied by endorsements by his many supporters.
Lauded by the likes of Tom Wolfe and John Walsh, Tales from the Woods makes an elegant addition to poetry lovers' shelves.

Review by Bowerbirds-Library
I purchased this book on Saturday afternoon and by the end of my Sunday afternoon flight to Sweden had read it through completely - twice! I was absolutely blown away by how much I loved this book. The illustrations are gorgeous (apart from mixing Crows & Rooks up) and I adored the poems. If you love nature but don't think that 'poetry' is your thing I would suggest that you try this book and if poetry is your thing, then what are you waiting for?I must admit that I found it had to believe that the author is one of the richest men in England (but that obviously say's more about me than it does the author!). A wonderful book.
