Description

Joan Webster (Hiller) has always known what she wants to get out of life and now she is ready to marry a rich, older man who lives on a Hebridean island.
As she travels to meet him, bad weather delays the final part of her journey and leaves her stranded on Mull.
There she meets Torquil MacNeil (Roger Livesey) and finds herself torn between ambition and love for the first time in her life.
