This started well & combined elements of Noir with the Batman Mythos, to great effect. I feel that it got a little lost in the second quarter & at times it became meandering, with an interlude with a particular villain(ess) being little more than detracting page filler in the middle quarters. It picks up again in the last quarter, and finished well. I, unlike others, did not rate the art at all, it did not convey the necessary noirish feel to the excellent story & in places seemed a little childish. Overall, an excellent story, a great Batman story, and a great continuation to some of the events in Year One. Worth a look

A great read. Reminded me of Nolan's batman at times. Deadly serious and really good.

This is the first Batman comic I ever read, and one of the first comics I read. It left quite an impression on me, and when I obtained my own copy years later it lived up to my memory as one of the best Batman comics.
