It's a cookbook. Is it riveting? Nope. Are the recipes good? Well, they are compliant with the SCD diet so if you like to cook dishes without grains, pastas, sugar or any starches then, yes, they are good recipes. As you can imagine, it's a pretty restrictive diet (especially for dessert) so any decent recipes make a good book. The diet itself, however, sucks. If you have the bowel disease that this diet is recommended to "fix", maybe it'll fix it for you; if, however, your issue is a food sensitivity to a specific set of food(s), then this diet makes you eliminate all the stuff that you may not be sensitive to at all (baby in the bathwater anyone?).Sure, eating should just be fuel, but still... if eating whole grain rice doesn't bother your bowels, you shouldn't be eliminating it from your diet.
