Scripture, tradition, and the lighting of the Advent wreath are combined to provide an enlightening, inspiring worship program.

Author Lucille Mewhorter searched for an Advent program to use in her small church. She wanted one that would include young people up through high school age. And with the busy schedules that most people endure, it had to be a program that required very little rehearsal. When she could not find an Advent program, she decided to write one. It went over big in her home church.

Lucille Mewhorter is a widow with an adopted daughter, a step-daughter, six grandchildren, and eleven great-grandchildren. Now retired, she has been a homemaker, a photographer, and a deputy in the Probate Court.
