Phytotherapy, Paperback / softback Book

Phytotherapy Paperback / softback

Paperback / softback

Description

A herbal medicine can be defined as a plant extract or a preparation containing crude or processed products of plants with therapeutic properties.

Due to safety concerns, side effects, steady increase in antibiotic resistance and inefficacy of conventional drug formulations, researchers are interested in herbal alternatives due to their biocompatibility, anti-inflammatory, antimicrobial, antioxidant properties and less toxicity and microbial resistance problems, such as chemically synthesized substances.

In this sense, this work aims to clarify through integrative reviews of literature on the use of herbal medicine in dentistry, more specifically in a possible application in endodontic treatment.
