DVD

Description

Thomas Imbach directs this drama starring Camille Rutherford as the infamous Mary Queen of Scots.

The film, also starring Sean Biggerstaff, Aneurin Barnard and Edward Hogg, follows Mary's story as she returns to her native Scotland from France where she had grown up and married her first husband.

Returning as a widow, Mary marries her first cousin who is, not long after, found murdered.

Mary then marries James Hepburn, 4th Earl of Bothwell (Biggerstaff), but by doing so condemns herself to a lifetime of criticism and reproval, even from her cousin Elizabeth I with whom she later seeks solace.
