Part of the Anatomy of the Ship series

5 out of 5 (1 rating)

Launched in 1906, HMS Dreadnought was the first all big-gun battleship and, as such, revolutionized battleship design for more than a generation.

Though she saw little action during her career, her influence was profound.

The most detailed examination of a single ship I've ever seen. Hundreds of great scaled plans and drawings including the ship's inner framework and structure, boilers and machinery, crew accommodations, superstructure, masts and rigging, boats, armament, and fittings. Amateur naval architects will spend hours pouring over it.
