Description

Women Like Me - From Loss To Living

Grieving your loss is a process that has to take place in order for healing to happen. And it takes time. How much time? Well, that would depend on the individual.

The eleven women who have written in this book, Women Like Me - From Loss To Living, have dealt with overwhelming loss in their lives. Each deals with it in their individual way. However, they dealt with it, and in the end, they were able to overcome it, move forward, and start living again.

These incredible ladies are sharing their stories in the hope that you, the reader, will find comfort, peace, and inspiration to move forward in your life. It was a healing experience for them to tell their story. When we keep our stories lock up in our hearts and minds, negative emotions will eat away at our souls. These beautiful ladies released themselves through written words, telling their stories.

Sydney Mickey - Was in a life-changing car accident and will never live the same again.
Pauline Atitwa - Endured the death of a beautiful little girl, beaten by someone she trusted to care for her.
Donna Fairhurst - Writes about the death of her beloved mother.
Tania Dashcavich - She experienced trauma and much loss and is the child of a Residental School Survivor.
Brenda-Lee Huot-Hunter - Enlightens the reader about the Child Welfare System and the loss of a little one she cared for.
Alison Degianni - Tells a story of addiction while trying to numb the feelings of loss in her life.
Colinda Laviolette - Writes about a childhood of abuse and finding her way back to her Indigenous Culture for healing.
Sabrina Lambert - Tells the reader about advocating for herself in the medical system, her illness, and overcoming.
Dana Cartwright - Experienced loss several times in her life and how she emotionally survived her trauma.
Linda S. Nelson - Writes about emotional trauma growing up and how it shaped her future and sense of worthiness.
Rosa Livingstone - Writes about the trauma of her two son's brain injuries and her role as their mother.

These strong and wise 11 woman hope that by reading their stories, a healing will take place for others who may be experiencing loss in their lives.
