New Suicide Squad : Pure Insanity Volume 1, Paperback

New Suicide Squad : Pure Insanity Volume 1 Paperback

3.5 out of 5 (2 ratings)

Once a secret to even the highest government officials, the Suicide Squad has emerged from Forever Evil as one of its most popular programs.

Its mission: to send incarcerated super villains to carry out impossible missions on foreign soil in exchange for a commuted prison sentence.

If they are caught or killed, no government could link these operatives back to the U.S. government. At least, that's the theory. This new series begins with a mission in Russia that features two red-hot Batman villains: Harley Quinn and Joker's Daughter, plus Deadshot, Deathstroke the Terminator, Black Manta, and more.

So, the Suicide Squad is rebooted, both with a new series (and series title) as well as on the page. Vic Sage is put in charge of the Suicide Squad, and their first mission back is sorta rushed and turns into a total disaster, with teammates turning against one another. Including some super craziness between Harley and a weird character called Joker’s Daughter. The Squad is in Russia for the first story, and China for the second, and both countries have some new defenders of their borders for sure who go up against the Squad. We also got to see a lot more of Waller which was interesting and different. In most DC characterizations of Waller they never get around to humanizing her.I got this advanced galley through Netgalley on behalf of DC Entertainment
