Description

The Memoirs of Sherlock Holmes is a collection of short stories by Arthur Conan Doyle, first published late in 1893 with 1894 date.[1] It was the second collection featuring the consulting detective Sherlock Holmes, following The Adventures of Sherlock Holmes.

Like the first it was illustrated by Sidney Paget.The twelve stories were originally published in The Strand Magazine from December 1892 to December 1893 as The Adventures number 13 to 24.

For instance, "The Final Problem" was published under the subheading "XXIV.-The Adventure of the Final Problem.Sir Arthur Ignatius Conan Doyle KStJ DL (22 May 1859 - 7 July 1930) was a British writer, who created the character Sherlock Holmes. Originally a physician, in 1887 he published A Study in Scarlet, the first of four novels and more than fifty short stories about Holmes and Dr. Watson. The Sherlock Holmes stories are generally considered milestones in the field of crime fiction.
