A Puppy Named Cowboy, Paperback / softback Book

A Puppy Named Cowboy Paperback / softback

Illustrated by Mandy Malbon

Part of the I Read, You Read series

Paperback / softback

Description

Cowboy, an abused and abandoned puppy, is rescued by an unknown stranger.

Told from a first person (dog, puppy) perspective, Cowboy shares his true story as he journeys from abuse and abandonment to rescue and love.

Gently, in an age appropriate style, Cowboy shares with the young reader that his legs were injured because the mean people tied them together with ropes. His injured legs make it difficult for him to run or even walk. His tummy is empty, and he wishes he had good food to eat. He wants someone to love him. He hopes for a forever home.

Children are invited through an, I Read, You Read format to come to Cowboy’s rescue.

Through the loving care of doctors and a foster mom Cowboy’s body heals and he grows strong enough to walk and run.

In a happy ending, Cowboy finds a loving family and his forever home.
