Connie is involved in the death of Egg Pardoe whilst on holiday. This continues to effect her for years. There are also repercussions for Lucy, Eggs mother. Both of their lives continue through twists and turns, until they meet again on the same beach in Cornwall. An enjoyable read of the way grief and loss continue to effect lives, and seeking to find a way to live with tragedy.
