Description

Meet Gordon McPherson, he is just trying to get through his day like any of us; do his job, make himself and his girlfriend happy. But his days are usually nothing like ours. He tried to fill the hole left by the death of his parents when he was a teenager by finding adventure. This quest for adventure led him to leave Canada and join the US Marines. It was here that chance intervened and changed his life forever.

Being lauded as a hero in Lebanon in the '80s opened doors for him. These doors brought opportunity, adventure, danger and finally betrayal. After being betrayed by those above him he left the organization that recruited him from the Marines and became what most would call a mercenary, he prefers Security Consultant.

As the new century neared he was seeing a new organization form in through the Middle East and Africa. His reports to his old bosses went unheeded, they told him that he was paranoid because of what happened in the past. His new boss's concerns about dollars and cents rather than new threats drove him to contemplate his next course in life. Then one chance meeting in an airport changed everything.

An old friend, an alley, a rare bird and a warehouse all seem unconnected and insignificant in their own way. When the four are put together the outcome is far from insignificant.
