I really recommend this series. A teenage boy helps direct souls in the afterlife to soul society where they can live peacefully. Only Hollows (corrupted souls) get in the way and even harm innocent souls. Ichigo relies on friends and family to fight for what is right.

Hmmm, I'll read the next few of the series, but I'm a little disappointed in the latest changes in the plot. First you have the slight issue that a lot of dramatic tension has been lost as it is apparently nearly impossible for this series to actually kill of a character. Add to that a bunch of the characters from the last story arc returning as a sort of comedy relief and I'm a little leery.

All these characters are a bit confusing. And the plot is sort of dragging...

Here we learn more about Hollows and Azien's plan, and boy does it sound bad. And Ichigo is in no shape to deal with them at the moment, too caught up in his own inner struggle. The artwork is getting even better and the story already has me hooked after one volume. The dialogue is different between the anime and manga so I don't mind that I know what happens. I'm catching things I didn't pick up on before. Also the manga is a little more graphic, which helps explain some injuries. These definitely fall into the category that the books are better than the movies. Can't wait for more.
