I loved this volume as much as the first, and the art style continues to be one of my favorites in manga so far. Bakuman is kind of an unusual series for me at this point, as I usually get bored with wordy manga that moves at a slow pace, but on the contrary -- with this one I find myself lingering at details and enjoying individuals panels for their intelligence and really captivating style. I'm a little bit less than enthused about the romantic relationships budding, but they aren't dwelt upon too much (despite their importance to the plot). Most of the action involves the boys working hard to develop and create and submit manga to a publisher, and I find it just as exciting as any action/adventure manga I've read to this point, so I consider that a really high praise for the writers' story-telling capability. I'll definitely be continuing.
