Paperback / softback

Description

John Lee Hooker, born on August 22nd, Nineteen-seventeen, Tutwiler, Tallahatchie County, Mississippi, U.S, was a blues singer, songwriter, and guitarist.

The son of a sharecropper, John rose to fame performing an electric guitar-style adaptation of Delta blues.

Hooker often incorporated other elements, including talking blues, along with early North Mississippi Hill country blues.

John developed his own driving-rhythm boogie style, distinct from the '30s-'40s piano-derived boogie-woogie.
