B?n Kia Bến Đỗ Paperback / softback

Paperback / softback

Description

The book provides a glimpse of the struggle of five women, coming from different backgrounds, trying to cope with the tumultuous years of violence in war-torn Vietnam, through the French colonization, Japanese occupation, and the breakup of the country. It depicts, to a certain extent, their traditional roles in upholding the social norm and value systems in a society that was at time on the verge of moral bankruptcy.
