I liked this book because the readers could guess, assume, and read along with the repetitive stanza. I enjoyed that in the end, the mole solved his mystery. The resolution was that the dog pooped on the moles head and then the mole got revenge by returning the same deed. I also liked how the pages were informational in the way that the illustrations accurately express the different shapes and sizes of animal droppings according to that animal, this teachers readers a little bit about the animals. I thought this book was humorous, which I enjoyed. The answers of each animal "I do it like this" made me, as the reader, laugh. The message of this picture book could be revenge. This is because the mole is on a mission to find out who or what had made a dropping on his head. Although, I don't think that this was a positive message because the mole turned around and did his own business on the dog in return. It sends a mixed message to readers because some children, you never know, might take this literally and think it is acceptable.
