Description

War drama based on true events in which a group of French villagers must abandon their homes and possessions to flee the German troops as they invade France.

In the throng of chaos is a young teacher, Suzanne (Alice Isaaz), who is desperately trying to keep one of her pupils safe after his German father is arrested.

Meanwhile, the boy's father, Hans (August Diehl), after being released from jail and left to fend for his self in a derelict town, sets out to reunite with his son.
