Description

The stories in this book are a true recollection of over seventy yearsof interaction with the people and places in the town of Durham, asheard and experienced by the author. Maybe a little literary license has crept in to embellish the stories, butthe names are accurate and no facts have been changed to protect thepeople named in this book. The author wishes to thank the towns people who confirmed theevents in the book. Thanks to my wife for helping me spell the hard words.

Also, sheexperienced some of the same events in Durham, except she went to theMethodist Church until 1941 when the Methodist and Congregationalchurches merged and used the same minister. Ten years later we were married in the Congregational Church.

You mightsay the church has been the greatest influence on our recollections ofwhat happened as we grew up in the town of Durham.
