fundaments : poems and early writings Paperback / softback

Paperback / softback

Description

‘fundaments’ represents the first published work of the young artist Antonio Giovanni Rivera; trained architect and mixed-medium designer.

This book includes nine poems written over a period of five years. Some reminisce over the complications and joys of relationships, others ponder about the curiosities of growing up with eccentric thoughts and behaviors.

Although each of the pieces was written independently in time and train of thought, common themes begin to emerge. These pieces have been written with attention to spoken word and verbal expression. Each poem has been developed for silent reading, but more importantly vocal expression. To be performed out loud.

Certain entries are more narrative in nature. Involving abstract characters or modulating concepts that travel forth and back. Others follow dialogues between counter points of thought and discussion…
