Description

Well, Maybe is a sweet, compelling picture book about a young boy who struggles to understand and build a relationship with his baby brother who has autism. Randy is three when his brother is born. From the time Steven comes home, he doesn't seem to like Randy. He cries when Randy touches him, and as he ages, Steven won't talk to Randy when he tries to talk to him. Steven also does weird things, like rock back and forth, spin in circles, and repeat things over and over that don't make sense to Randy. Mama always explains to Randy that Steven does love him and he will know it one day. Randy doesn't seem to believe it will happen. But finally, after being bullied at school and saved by Randy, Steven breaks out of his shell and expresses his love for Randy in the most touching way.
