The James Cropper Wainwright Prize is named after nature writer Alfred Wainwright. The prizes are awarded to the work which best reflects Wainwright’s core values and include a celebration of nature and our natural environment or a warning of the dangers to it across the globe.
In 2022 there are three prize categories: Nature Writing, Writing on Conservation, and Children’s Writing on Nature & Conservation. The prize shortlists will be announced on 28 July and the winners’ announcement will be made live on 7 September at The London Wetland Centre. Find out more...
