Review by JohnNebauer
A prequel to The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe, this was published after LWW. Liek the remaining Narnia books it is a re-telling of the Christian view of Good v Evil. This novel is also a re-telling of the Genesis story, complete with temptation and redemption. I'm glad that I didn't read them in the order Lewis suggested for the because the prequel dispels some of the wonder that comes with reading the LWW for the first time. Cast in the conventions of early-mid twentieth century children's story-telling, some younger readers may not connect with the characters. Nevertheless it was still an enjoyable Narnia introduction.
