Naruto : Bridge of Courage v. 3 Paperback
Illustrated by Masashi Kishimoto
Part of the Naruto series
Naruto is a ninja-in-training with a need for attention, a knack for mischief, and sealed within him, a strange, formidable power.
His antics amuse his instructor Kakashi and irritate his teammates, intense Sasuki and witty Sakura, but Naruto is serious about becoming the greatest ninja in the village of Konohagakure! Zabuza, the ninja assassin, was stopped from his first try at killing Tazuna the bridgebuilder - but Zabuza still lives!
While the ninjas recover from their injuries, Kakashi puts Naruto, Sasuke and Sakura on a strict training regimen to protect Tazuna's family - including Tazuna's embittered grandson Inari - and prepare for Zabuza's next attack.
But the next time won't be as easy, because joining Zabuza is his apprentice, Haku. And as the bridge comes closer to completion, our heroes must be willing to die - or kill - to protect the ones they love.

Review by TheoClarke
This is a transitional issue in the series; the point at which it steps up a gear. The illustration is tighter, central themes are becoming apparent, relationships become more complex, and for the first time I became significantly engaged with the characters. At the end of this volume I was impelled to read on.

This volume isn't bad. It has the beginning of a big battle and training. And we see a different side of Naurto. Things are looking up. It's still got some silly parts, but I think that's alwasy going to be the case. Bleach is still my favorite, but I think I'll stick with this one, even if it's just to see how it goes.
