61 Is the New 41 : Crossfit Yourself To Health and Well-Being Hardback

Hardback

Description

61 Is The New 41 is the perfect manual for how to start exercising, using CrossFit routines to fit your personal needs and goals.

In this story, I discuss what you can expect from CrossFit, how it affects your body, and many of the untold hidden benefits from doing it consistently. A lot of those gems come directly from people who have taken a leap of faith and dived into CrossFit. Their stories are moving and inspirational and are the soul of this book. Plus the secret benefits of doing Tabata exercises and Olympic weightlifting for lifelong health.

In Chapter 4, I also share my own 27-step program for starting CrossFit, which is sort of a long-form Betty Crocker recipe for lifelong success.

The story also discusses the role of gut microbes in exercise, health and well-being. The trillions of microbes in your gut determine how you think and feel, what you eat and drink, and how your body responds to all of it. It is more than just a second brain. Collectively, your gut microbes are the most important organ and organ system in your body.

CrossFit is not the scary training program you've probably heard about. It is not all about training like an Olympic athlete 24/7 for years, only to burn out at age 30. Although CrossFit, Inc. does not currently promote this, you can exercise instead of train, and scale down your routines to get as much out of each workout as you want and your body needs.
