Description

Dianne Borsenik brings her second full-length book of poetry to Stubborn Mule, and we are beyond thrilled with this elegant book of poems. She is a modern master of form, with  abecedarians, acrostics and more, you will struggle to find the form with her astonishing ability to put content first and form second. The book of "ragas" is divided into Sitar, Shehnai, Bansuri, and Tabla and creates a beautiful rhythm throughout.

Dianne Borsenik is active in the northern Ohio poetry scene, and travels to perform her work throughout the Midwest. Her poems have appeared in numerous journals and anthologies, including Rosebud, Slipstream, Chiron Review, Main Street Rag, Lilliput Review, Modern Haiku, The Magnetic Poetry® Book of Poetry (Workman Publishing, 1997), and A Rustling and Waking Within (OPA, 2017). Crisis Chronicles Press published her first full-length collection, Age of Aquarius, in 2016. Actor Jonathan Frid (“Barnabas Collins,” Dark Shadows) used three of her poems in his one-man touring show Genesis of Evil, and Lit Youngstown printed her poem “Disco” on their tee shirts, which makes her feel like a rock star. Borsenik is editor/publisher at NightBallet Press, and lives in Elyria, Ohio. Find her on Facebook and at www.dianneborsenik.com.
