The monolinguistic poetry writing approach, based on which most of our poetry contents are and have always been written, happens to solely be relevant and effective in terms of conveying meaning within a monolinguistic community of readers, sharing the same language as a tool for communication.

However, when it comes to conveying meaning by means of poetry to the broader universal community of readers characterized by linguistic differences, the recourse to the process of translation aimed at achieving the afore-mentioned goal has been demonstrated to be harmful to poetry as a literary genre; especially since the original poetry text contents as expressed and meant by the author in the source language, does not seem to be faithfully and effectively cross-communicable in the target language, due to the untranslatability of poetry's embedded musicality, embodied within the metered verse by the sounds of the alliteration and the rhyme.

With that being said, the stakes surrounding the cross-communicability of translated poetry contents are as high as the very survival of poetry as a literary genre.
